AL SHUCRAFT

Al Shucraft, age about 65 years, a wellknown colored resident of the city, died this morning at the county jail at 2 o'clock. (His birth year was approximated.) Shucraft had been placed in jail only a few days ago, after being declared insane. His is the first death to occur in the jail during Sheriff Bouslog's term in office, and the second death in the past six years. Mr. Shucraft is survived by a wife and two sons, Douglas and Charles, of this city.
The funeral will be held Monday afternoon. Interment will be made at Southmound.

The funeral of Al Shucraft was held from the house this afternoon. Rev. Sam Ferguson of Beaver Dam, Ky., was in charge of the services.

Albert Wayne Shoecraft was a twin of Allison Shoecraft and DOB is noted as 19 Nov 1842. His father was William Tatum Shoecraft (1814-1893). --- Contributed by FAG contributor #46804697
