Shippensburg, Earl E. Altland, age 61, passed away on July 28, 2016 at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg.
He was born in Hanover on January 11, 1955.
He graduated from Spring Grove Area High School class of 1973.
After high school, he started his own trucking business as an owner-operator and continued that for many years.
He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, vacation cruises, and attending truck shows to hang out with his friends.
He was also a member of Trinity Roth Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his son Bryan E. Altland and fiancée Amanda Lehman of Newport; his father Frank J. Altland Jr.; his brothers Carl E. Altland and wife Kim or Spring Grove and Jesse J. Altland and wife Deborah of York; and his nephew John C. Altland.
He is also survived by his companion Wanda Rasy.
He was predeceased by his mother Helen M. (Fishel) Altland.
Following Cremation, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 2:00 pm at Trinity Roth United Church of Christ Cemetery, 6417 Church Rd., Spring Grove PA 17362 with Rev. Gene Edwards officiating.
