MRS. E. B. SHIPP'S FUNERAL IS SET
The funeral of Mrs. Emma Byrne Shipp, 95. who died in her home, 1903 North Third Street, Monroe, Friday night, will be held in the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home chapel this afternoon at 4 o'clock. First Reader E. A. Fitler, of the First Church of Christ Scientist, will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview Burial Park.
Mrs. Shipp moved to Monroe in 1891 and has resided here ever since living through the years in the house in which her death occurred. In her younger years she was active in the affairs of Monroe and known and highly regarded by a wide circle of friends.
She is survived by two daughters:
Mrs. Willie Lawhead of Monore
Mrs. Addie Walker of Waveland, Mississippi
A sister:
Mrs. Lee Lewis of Ferriday
Grandaughter:
Mrs. Harold Hicks of Mississippi
Great-grandaughter:
Tommie Jane Lawhead
Dale Lawhead, a local mortician, who died some years ago, was a grandson of Mrs. Shipp
