H.T. Bailey, 66, widely-known Gadsden lawyer, died early Saturday night at his home on Elmwood Avenue.
Mr. Bailey's health had been impaired for some time, but relatives and friends had not realized that he was dangerously ill. Death apparently was due to a heart attack.
Surviving are his widow and two son, James Bailey and Henry T. Bailey.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the Brown-Service chapel.

Funeral services for Henry T. Bailey, 66, prominent Gadsden attorney, who died early Saturday night, were held at 11 o'clock today at the Brown funeral chapel. Burial was in Forrest cemetery.
Mr. Bailey, who was born in Alexander City, was educated at Howard College, later attending the University of Alabama law school. He graduated at the age of 19, being the youngest member of his class. He had practiced law here for several years and was well known throughout North Alabama. He was a member of the Eleventh Street Methodist Church.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Emma Cochran Bailey; two sons, H.T. Bailey, Jr. of Carbon Hill and James W. Bailey of Gadsden.
