Arthur M. Blatt, 90, Reading, died Sept. 2 at 6:15 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient since Aug. 25.

His wife, Ruth (Liggett) Blatt, died Dec. 23, 2001.

Born in Bern Township, he was a son of the late Franklin P. and Carrie (Althouse) Blatt.

Blatt had been employed for 38 years as a maintenance mechanic by Kawecki-Berylco Industries Inc., later NGK Metals Corp., Tuckerton, retiring in 1982. He also worked for 20 years at the Army-Navy Store in Reading.

He was a member of Epler's United Church of Christ, Bern Township.

Blatt is survived by two sons, Ralph W., Hyde Park, and Garry L., Reiffton.

Other survivors include a sister, Kathryn M. (Blatt) Kauffman, Mohnton.

There are also seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. Burial will be in Epler's Church Cemetery, Bern Township.
