Angeline Middaugh was born in Caroline Township, Tompkins County, New York, on May 12, 1843. Her parents were Richard and Angeline Smith Middaugh. In 1854, she moved with her parents to Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. In 1862, she moved with her parents again, to Steele County, Minnesota. On October 9, 1864, she married Ira Wilcox in Steele County. Records aren’t clear, but they may have had a daughter who died young. In 1867, her brother Valentine’s wife died, leaving him with an eight year old son. Valentine allowed the Wilcoxes to adopt the son, Henry. In 1870, Angeline and Ira were living in Waupun without Henry. In 1880, Angeline and Ira were living in Waupun, Fond du Lac County, with Henry. Ira died in 1890. In 1900 Angeline was still living in Waupun with Henry, his wife and her mother Angeline. By 1910, Angeline had moved to Seattle, Washington and was living with a man named Houghton. In 1920, Angeline was still in Seattle. In 1930, Houghton had died, and Henry was living in Seattle with his wife and Angeline. Angeline died in Seattle on October 1, 1931. At this time, her place of burial is unknown.
