Joe graduated from Hymera High School in 1942 and attended Indiana State College. He was a WWII veteran with the US army Air Force Fighter Group #507, proudly serving from November 12, 1942 to January 10, 1946. Joe was a member of the American Legion #298 in Hymera and also Veterans of foreign Wars, Greenwood post # 5864 and a 32nd Degree Mason. He retired from sun Oil Company in 1981 after 35 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Leola Daniely; 3 children, Stephen (Stefani) Daniely, Nancy (Chess) Edmundson, and Cynthia (John) Boyce; 8 grandchildren, David Boyce, Chad Edmundson, Michael Daniely, Jennifer Boyce, cole Edmundson, Diana Dinges, Tara Ganovsky and Joseph Daniely; and 12 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at GH Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 South State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road, on Friday, august 5, 2016 at 1:30 pm, with 2 hours of visitation preceding the service. Burial will be in forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Military rites afforded. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice and/or Palliative Care, 8111 S.
