GLORIA P. JAYNE
Gloria P. Jayne (Finckenor) died on October 13, 2010 in Deerfield Beach, Fla. at the age of 98. Ms. Jayne, a former resident of Sag Harbor, resided at Emeritus at DeerCreek, a senior assisted living facility.
A graduate of New York University, Ms. Jayne and her family moved to Sag Harbor in the late 1930s where she taught at East Hampton Elementary School. She also taught for 30 years for Polk Country in Lakeland, Fla.
She is survived by her nephew, George Finckenor Jr. of Boca Raton, Fla. Her brother, George Finckenor Sr., predeceased her.
