She was a member of the Daisy Hill Methodist Church in Borden, the Order of the Eastern Star in Borden, the New Albany Ladies Auxiliary VFW 3281 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bonnie Sloan American Legion Post 28. Survivors include a daughter, Darita Kay Bierly Roche, New Albany, a son-in-law, James Lee Roche, New Albany, and her caregiver Joyce Akers, New Albany. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Corabelle Emory, her stepfather, Charlie Mathers, and her husband Otis Bierly. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec 29. Cremation has been chosen.
