Gusta Fletcher's Services Slated
Mrs. Gusta Adkins Fletcher, 78, of Beckley, died Monday at 2:45 p.m. in a local hospital after a long illness.
She was a housewife and a member of Stanaford Missionary Baptist Church and the WCTU of that church.
She was born in Pipestem June 14, 1897, daughter of Lue Bennett and Marinda Lane. Her husband, Ralph Fletcher, preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Fred Adkins of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill Adkins of Beckley, Marvin Adkins of Norton, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Violet Conners of Stanaford and Mrs. Katherine Nugen of Beckley; two half - brothers, Hubert Bennett of Harper and Obie Bennett of Hinton; one half - sister, Mrs. Dora Taylor of Page; eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Philip Lilly. Burial will be In Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
