Amelia (Wilkas) Baker, 93, of Geneva, died July 3, 2007, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. She was born Dec. 17, 1913, in St. Charles, the daughter of Peter and Vera Wilkas.

She had been employed by Oper-Radio which became DuKane Corporation in St. Charles and retired in 1969.

Amelia is survived by her nieces, Lenore, Linda, and Irene; her cousin Jean; and her dear friends, Eleanor Johnson of Geneva and Julie Swanson of St. Charles.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Baker in 1982 and her brother, Raymond Wilkas. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Geneva with Fr. Bruce Ludeke celebrant. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva.

Arrangements are by the Norris Funeral Home, St. Charles.
