Born in Bernardsville, New Jersey, Michael Bolash was a 1938 graduate of Bernards High School in Bernardsville, a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and a resident of Osprey, Florida, for thirty-three years where he was employed as supervisor in the residential and business construction field. He retired in 1985. An avid golfer, he had four holes-in-one. He also was a veteran, having served, in the United States Navy, during World War II as an athletic specialist.

Mr. Bolash was survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter, Jane (Bolash) Gump; a brother, Vincent Bolash; a sister, Elsie (Bolash) Earle; five grandchildren, Lauren Hinds, Mary Jane Beam, John-Michael Hinds, Margaret Songer, and Jacqueline Zambori; and eight great-grandchildren, Dylan Bradbury, Adrian Beam, Morgan Beam, Emma Hinds, Dustin Songer, Jacob Songer, Megan Zambezi, and Macey Zambori.

Mr. Bolash was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia (Bolash) Efaw; his parents, Andrew and Julia (Schelling) Bolash; five brothers, Andrew, Joseph, Henry, George, and John; and three sisters, Anna (Bolash) Ryden, Margaret (Bolash) Cavinato, and Catherine (Bolash) Fila. Arrangements were by National Cremation Services of Raleigh, North Carolina.
