Burleigh—Died at his home, 30 West Fourth street, April 23rd, Clarence S. Burleigh, aged 50 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Addie Watson Burleigh, and three daughters, Mrs. Walter Currier of Syracuse, Mrs. Benjamin Earrishaw of Long Island, and Mrs. Harold Pierce of Fulton; one son, Richard Burleigh, of this city; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Burleigh, of Phoenix, and a brother, Robert of Syracuse, and a sister, Mrs. Stephen Pendergast of Phoenix,; also nine grandchildren.
The deceased was born in Phoenix, and attended the public schools. Later he engaged in business, and operating the freight and express boat than ran from Syracuse to Oswego on the barge canal. After disposing of this business, he was employed at Foster Brothers & Chattillon company's Knife works for a term and more recently has been engineer in charge of the steam power of the American Woolen company. He was well known in Phoenix and Fulton and was popular with all classes of our citizens.
