Virginia M. Taylor, 94, of Moberly, died Wednesday evening, August 3, 2016, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Virginia was born February 19, 1922, in Chariton, Iowa to Frank L. and Stella (Ruark) Apgar.

She was a member of the Moberly First Baptist Church, a Gold Circle Member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary, and the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. Virginia was a volunteer at the Higbee Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing cards.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Edward Jenness, Lester Wood, and Stanley Taylor, a son Larry Gross, two brothers Rex and Dean Apgar, and three sisters Betty Etter, Dorothy Swanson, and Georgia Tedrow.

Survivors include her children, Joy Reynolds and husband Douglas of Higbee, Lee Jenness and wife Cindee of Las Vegas, NV, Victor Jenness and wife Lois of Marshalltown, IA; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, a sister-in-law Irene McCormick of Ft. Myers, FL; other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions to the Higbee Senior Center would be appreciated.

Services honoring and celebrating Virginia’s life were held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial followed in the Higbee City Cemetery
