He was born on April 28, 1949 in Johnson County, Ky., the son of Claude and Rosa (Conley) Adams.
He was retired from Greenfield Research. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, enjoying the outdoors and relaxing on the back porch.
He is survived by his wife; three brothers; five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Johnnie Adams, Jr. and Kenny Adams; one brother, Jack Adams; one nephew, Austin Wells; and both parents.
A special thank you to his sister-in-law Jean Helms; brother-in-law, Eddie Justice; and great niece, Beth Kegley.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mitch Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday.
