Willie LeRoy McCullock was born September 24, 1936 in Decatur, Nebraska to Glen and Margaret (Bradshaw) McCullock. He passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Tekamah, Nebraska.

LeRoy attended country school for a time and then worked on the family farm.

On January 4, 1961 he married Lucille Mason in Dakota City, NE and made their family home in Decatur. To this union were born four children.

LeRoy worked for many farmers around the area, REA Power Company and in his later years of employment, for the Village of Decatur.

His passion was hunting and fishing. He spent most of his time fishing under the Decatur Bridge on the Missouri River. When he caught enough fish, he had fish fries and everyone was invited. He was famous for his fish patties. He also loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucille; son, Jessie; five brothers: Johnny, Willis, Willard, Buddy and Jumbo; two sisters: Gladys Henneman and Annie Sparks.

He is survived by his two sons: RoyLee (Laura) McCullock, Robert (Betsy Coburn) McCullock both of Decatur; daughter, Brenda (Todd) Hunter of Blair, NE; two brothers: Joe (Charlotte) McCullock of Decatur, Leonard McCullock of Schuyler, NE; sister, Lucille “Dolly” Stillman of Decatur; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
