Ralph D. Feyersen, age 87, of Manitowoc, died Sunday, August 7, 2016 surrounded by his family at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Ralph was born on September 1, 1928 in Sheboygan, son of the late Al and Florence (Jones) Feyersen. He grew up in Sheboygan and Sacramento California. On April 7, 1951 he married the former Carrie Haese in Manitowoc. Together they celebrated 65 years of marriage in April. He was employed as a semi-truck driver for Eck Industries for 30 years until his retirement. Ralph was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church and former member of the Civil Air Patrol. After retirement he drove school bus for school trips always requesting to be the driver for his grandchildren's school functions. In the past he enjoyed spending time at his cottage at Riley's Point in Little Sturgeon, taking trips and weekend getaways with family and friends. Ralph also enjoyed building detailed towns and landscapes around his model trains. He was always the number one fan at his grandchildren's sporting events, and looked forward to his time every summer at the Manitowoc County Fair volunteering with the Shoto Conservation Club. He loved his family with his whole heart.

Survivors include his wife; Carrie Feyersen, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law: Cyndee (Bo) Stasse, Ormond Beach, FL; Kellie (Terry) Wiensch, Two Rivers; eight grandchildren: Missy Burnstad, Tucson, AZ; Derek (Megan) Burnstad, Applegate, OR; Casie Gospodarek, Two Rivers; Tayler Gospodarek, Madison; Terry Wiensch Jr., Francis Creek; Stephanie Stasse, Orlando, FL; Katie Stasse, Orlando, FL; Sara (Paul) Wilson, Milton, FL; three great-grandchildren: Ellie Junk, Two Rivers; Emma Burnstad, Applegate, OR; Daniel Wilson, Milton FL; two sisters-in-law: Luella Feyersen, Manitowoc; Arline Haese, Manitowoc; and special friend: Gary Burnstad, Two Rivers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Al and Florence Feyersen; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Viola and Adolph Haese; one brother; Howard Feyersen; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John (Marge) Haese; Dick (Lil) Bero; Ron Haese, and Ziphora Haese; one nephew: Bob Feyersen.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11;00 a.m. at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. The Rev. Robert Kujawski and Rev. Stephen Melso will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family. Dad, you were an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather - you endured so much and now you are at peace - the pain and suffering are over and you are in the arms of the Lord - you will forever be our hero - we love you so much!
