Daley, Carol Ann

Carol "Cookie" Daley, age 83, a longtime resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Carol was born on July 24, 1933 in Two Rivers to the late Earl and Marie Crabb Schneider. She graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1950. On September 10, 1955, Carol married William R. Daley at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2003. Carol was employed at Mirro Corporation, The Elbow Room, and Beerntsen's Confectionary. She was well known for her friendly service and homemade desserts served at The Elbow Room. Carol was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers. Carol was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Survivors include Carol's four children: Deborah (Daniel) Knox, Manitowoc; Daniel (Cathy) Daley, Prior Lake, MN; Dawn Daley and her special friend Greg Rabas, Green Bay; and Dee Ann (Erin) Crowley, Waunakee; nine grandchildren: Justin (Jennifer) Knox, Tyler Knox, Ryan (Aly) Daley, Kevin Daley, Megan Daley, Austin Strouf, Alex Strouf, Kenzie Crowley, and Jack Crowley; four siblings: Neal Schneider, Sandy Keefe, Victoria Nason, and Doug Schneider; three sisters-in-law: Bernadine Yanda, Dorothy Cenefelt, and Patricia Steeber; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband: William; two sisters: LaVerne Schneider and Jean Erickson; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A prayer service will be led by Deacon Rich Bahnaman at 7 p.m. to conclude the visitation. The visitation will continue on Friday, August 12, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Carol's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Laurel Grove, the doctors and nurses who provided care to Carol during the last few years, and also to Aurora Medical Center for their loving care during the last days of her life.
