ANDREW WERGIN
Andrew Wergin, 74, of Rt. 1, Mishicot, Town of Gibson, died at Holy
Family Hospital at Manitowoc at 12:25 a.m. Friday. He had been in
failing health for several months.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Specht Funeral Home,
Mishicot, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot,
the Rev. Anthony Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross
Cemetery, Mishicot.
Mr. Wergin was born Sept. 19, 1884 at West Kewaunee, son of the late
John and Frances Sinoski Wergin. He married the former Agnes Norkoske
at Manitowoc Nov. 21, 1910, who died three years ago. After their
marriage, the couple lived in Manitowoc until 1927 when the family
moved to a farm in the Town of Gibson.
Surviving Mr. Wergin are six daughters, Mrs. Raymond Sneberk of Gibson,
Mrs. Erwin Pleuss, Mrs. Marcellin Barbier and Mrs. Thomas O’Malley of
Manitowoc, Mrs. William Gardiner of Skokie, Ill., and Mrs. Peter
Roovers of Kimberly., Wis; two sons, Daniel of Two Rivers and Leo of
Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Wiessner of Casco, and Mrs.
Josephine Miller of Sebastian, Fla.; four brothers, Theodore, Peter
and Julius of Manitowoc, and Joseph of Sturgeon Bay, 22 grandchildren
and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Sunday where the
Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
