Here Lyes James Borthwick, Nephew to William Brunton who Died the 12 of April, 1785. Aged 42 years, Also Helen Brunton, Spouse to Andrew Johnston late Tenant in Heriot Mill who died at Prieston 6th March 1795, aged 84 ? years.
Also Euphemia Lauder, Spouse of James Brunton, who died the 3d. of June 1822, aged 28 years and their infant Son George, Also James their Son who died 1st November 1824 aged 5 years.

Also their eldest son, WILLIAM BRUNTON of Ladhope born 19th April 1817 died 29th . Nov. 1891.
Also of AGNES STENHOUSE wife of the said JAMES BRUNTON who died 16th April 1848 aged 41 years.
And of their family. A son who died in infancy.
JAMES who died 13th Feb 1852 aged 4 years.
SIR THOMAS LAUDER BRUNTON BT Born March 14th 1844 died Sept 16th. 1916. Pioneer of the science of pharmacology.
EDWARD HENRY POLLOCK BRUNTON LIEUT R.A.M.C. younger son of SIR T. LAUDER BRUNTON BT. Born January 2nd 1890. Killed in action at Loos Octr. 8th 1915.
