JANICE WIEGERT
Janice Wiegert, 70, of 523 Buchanan St., Mishicot, entered into eternal rest
on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family,
after a five month battle with gallbladder cancer. Janice was born June 5,
1943, in Two Rivers, to the late Gilbert and Edna Beeck and has been a Mishicot
resident for the past 41 years. She was a graduate of the Mishicot High School,
graduating with the class of 1961. Janice married Robert Wiegert on June 1,
1968, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot. She started
dancing at the age of 5, and the passion for dance continued throughout her life.
She taught ballroom dance lessons at Fred Astaire in Milwaukee, where she met
her husband. She started teaching children tap, ballet, and jazz dance classes,
and in 1971, she moved back to Mishicot and started her own dance studio. Janice
taught the love of dance and self confidence to hundreds of children, over the
next 41 years. In addition she also choreographed numerous High School musicals,
TRACTS's, and Masquers productions. Janice taught ballroom dance lessons for the
UW Manitowoc system, and adult tap lessons at the YMCA. She was a member of St.
Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, and a member of the church's
choir, and was also a member of the Lakeshore Chorale.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby
Wiegert; and by her father-in-law, and mother-in-law: Clarence and Anna Wiegert.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013, at St. Peter's
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, with the Reverend Robert Johannes
officiating, with burial to follow in the Mishicot Public Cemetery. Relatives
and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Lambert-Eckert
Funeral Home in Mishicot. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. on Friday at the
church, until the time of service at 11 a.m. A memorial fund has been established
in her name. The Wiegert family would like to express a very special thank you to
ASERA Care Hospice, Pastor Robert Johannes, the Lambert-Ecker Funeral Home, the
Pink Heals organization and to everyone in the community for all the love, care,
and support shown to Janice during her illness. Your kindness will always be
remembered.
