Edgar "Ed" Gilmore Springer was the husband of Vivian Hall, whom he married 11 Nov 1920. She was from Lynville, Tennessee and was buried there when she died. They had no children.

Ed Springer was the son of Guynatti Springer and his second wife, Sallie J. Pullen. Sallie died 1 Nov 1892 when Ed was four years old. Sallie and Guy had six children, five sons and one daughter.

Ed Springer was a veteran of WWI and on 11 Nov 1919 was on the front fighting when the Armistice was signed
