Mrs. Emma Wilson, 83, a lifelong resident of the Town of Gibson,
died Thursday noon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Eldred Wegner,
at Melnik, with whom she had been living since release from a
hospital where she was treated for a hip injury some time ago.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Mishicot, the Rev. David Worgull officiating.
Burial will be in Mishicot Public Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson, nee Emma
Stueck, was born July 7, 1876, in the Town of Gibson, a daughter
of the late John and Wilhelmina Stueck. She was married Sept. 14,
1899, to Norman Wilson at Zander, Town of Gibson. After their
marriage, the couple made their home on the Wilson homestead farm
where she resided since. Her husband died seven years ago.
Surviving Mrs. Wilson are two other daughters, Mrs. Harvey Wilda
of Manitowoc and Mrs. Mabel Tapp of Neosho, Wis.; three sons,
Norman, Jr., on the home farm, Raymond of the Town of Gibson, and
John of Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot, after 2 p.m.
Saturday until 12 a.m. Sunday when the casket will be taken to the
church where the body will be in state until the time of services.
