Robbinsville - Mildred Carver Jenkins, 81, of Robbinsville, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at her residence.

A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late John and Mamie Slaughter Carver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Carver; her brothers, Gwyn Carver, Cliff Carver, Blaine Carver, Al Carver, and Swan Carver; and her son-in-law, Max Crisp.

Mildred was a loving mother and wife who devoted her life to caring for her family.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ralph Jenkins; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and John Ray McClincy, Kathy and Bobby Carver, and Donna Crisp, all of Robbinsville; her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Donna Jenkins of Westchester, Pa.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Andy Carver, Kristy and Jimmy Moran, John and Nina Crisp, Larry Jenkins, Jesse and Kynda Crisp, and Kyle Jenkins; and one step-grandchild, Kelly Lengyel; her great-grandchildren, Hannah and Halee Carver, Kelly and Kaylee Crisp; and one step great-grandchild, James Moran.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church, of where she was a member. The Revs. Tommy Hooper, Jack Millsaps, and G.D. Phillips will officiate. Committal service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
