Robert Earl “Bob” Goff of Cedar Park, TX played his final hand August 10, 2016.
Born February 10, 1940 to Edward & Jewel (Childress) Goff in Houston, TX.
He attended Sam Houston High, Tulane University, and after serving 4 years with the United States Air Force, graduated with a double major from The University of Texas at Austin (Class of ‘67).
He was a member of Mensa International, a master chess player, an avid pool ace, an excellent poker player, and was as kind, generous, and loving as he was brilliant!
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Wayne Goff; sister, LaVerne Jones; and grandsons, Torren Henley & Kinden Nicholi Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Teel Nichole & husband Lawrence Gess of Cedar Park, TX, Desmond Thomas & wife Tempa Scott of Houston, TX, and Edward & wife Jennifer Fox of Spearfish, SD; grandchildren – Kayleigh Hope & Lawrence William Gess, IV, Xaden Oliver & Corben Goff Scott, Chelsea Paige Harvey, and Devan & Taylor Fox; brother – Lawrence & wife Jeanne Goff of Garfield, AR; numerous nephews and nieces; and beloved, long-time friends Bill & Gloria “Glo” Odom and Kay Goff-Josephs.
He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. In his final words, “illegitimis non carborundum”.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 27, 2016 from 2-4pm at The Atrium Clubhouse in Sun City, 1 Texas Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633.
