Gene Brown Benton, age 77, of Marysville, died on June 15, 2001. He was born on June 2, 1924 in Centertown, Kentucky to Adrian D. Benton and Laura Marguerite Brown. He leaves his wife, Laura, of 54 years; his two sons, James and Jerry; his daughter, Sharon and husband Michael Howe, grandchildren, Kiley and wife Monica, Dallas and Adrian Howe and numerous cousins. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Gwen Benton; her son, Brad; daughter, Lori and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Marguerite Benton and recenty his dear brother, Bob Benton. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2001 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2001 at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.
