Angela "Angie" K. Daker, age 63, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016, at CHI St. Francis Healthcare Campus in Breckenridge, MN.
Angie Kay (Meyer) Daker was born on March 24, 1953, in Breckenridge, MN, to Howard and Magdeline (Mohs) Meyer, one of 15 children. She was raised in Breckenridge and attended school at St. Mary's through the 8th grade, and then graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1971. After high school, she worked at St. Francis Nursing Home, and later at 3M in Wahpeton, ND, as a parts assembler.
Angie was united in marriage to Jeffrey Bahr in 1979 in Wyndemere, ND. From this union the couple had two children. In 2002, Angie was united in marriage to Harry Daker, in Breckenridge. The couple resided in Kent, MN.
Angie was known for always being there for everyone she knew, and helping them in any way that she could. She had a great sense of humor, and could always cheer folks up. She loved her large family, and took every opportunity to attend sporting events for her children and grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, doing crossword and puzzle books, and riding motorcycle with Harry.
Angie is survived by her husband of 14 years, Harry, of Kent; two children: Travis (Nicole) Bahr, of Wahpeton, and Carmen Bahr, of Breckenridge; three grandchildren; siblings: Herbert (Pat) Meyer, Charles (Laura) Meyer, Henry J. Meyer, Marylou (Gene) Hansey, Cathy (Dale) DeVine, Helen Meyer, Gary (Ella) Meyer, Larry (Josie) Meyer, Robin (Shelly) Meyer, Kelly Meyer, and Cheryl Meyer; her parents-in-law, Harry Sr. and Helen Daker; many nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Magdeline; her daughter, Tina Meyer; and her siblings, Daisy Harteben, Michael Meyer, and Carol Meyer.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 5:30 PM. The funeral mass will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge, with a visitation from 9:30-10:15 AM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home. The Celebrant will be Father Joseph Backowski. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Breckenridge.
