Dorothy E. Binversie, age 82, of 3311 Yorkshire Lane, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening Christmas Eve, December 24, 2013 at Shady Lane Nursing
Care Center, Manitowoc, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born on April 17, 1931 in Kenosha, daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie (Meissner) Thomey. After graduation from high school, Dorothy graduated from the Milwaukee School of Cosmetology in 1949 and was employed for four years as a Beautician in Racine and Kenosha. On October 17, 1953 she married Linus G. Binversie in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1973. She graduated from Lakeshore Technical College of Cleveland, WI as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1981. She was employed as a CNA from 1981-2001 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth & Jean Binversie, St. Nazianz, David Binversie, St. Nazianz, Steven & Deanne Binversie,
Manitowoc; five daughters and sons-in-law: Catherine & David Riesterer, St. Nazianz, Linda & Chuck Samz, Two Rivers, Lori & Brian Krebsbach, Chilton, Carol Binversie, Manitowoc, Nancy & Kurt Lorenz, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Holly, Katie, Emily, Gina, Matthew, Lindsey, Jesse and Lauren; a sister and brother-in-law: Roberta & John Venovic, Rockford, IL, and a brother: James Thomey & special friend Debbie, Kenosha. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 28, 2013 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be the Rev. Jeremy Vance. Burial of her cremated remains will occur at St. Gregory Church Cemetery, St. Nazianz, WI, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
