OBITUARY---Phebe Ann Coles was born in Morgan County, Ohio to James and Mary Pearson Coles. She moved with her parents to Warren County, Iowa at the age of 8 years, and united in marriage to John G. Matson August 31, 1865. The Matsons moved to Nuckolls county, Nebraska, in 1875 moving to Hitchcock county, in 1881 and a little later settling a short distance south of where Marion, Nebraska now stands, where they lived until a few years ago, when they moved to their present home in Marion. She departed this life March 2, 1922 at he age of 77 Years, 7 Months, and 24 Days, at her home in Marion. Six years ago last August Mr. & Mrs. Matson celebrated their Golden Wedding at their home, south of Marion at which there was a large attendance of riends. Burial was at the Sherman Cemetery.
