RUSSELLVILLE - Roy Edwin Bailey, 71, of Russellville died Nov. 27, 2006, at Logan Memorial Hospital.

The Logan County native was a retired master sergeant with the United States Air Force, with 20 years of service, and served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired as clerk at the U.S. Postal Service, Russellville office, after 22 years of service. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a son of the late Roy Benton Bailey and Lorena Rhoda Jennette Clark Bailey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Barcley Benton Bailey.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sanders Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhoda Rene Bailey Cole of Russellville and Lorna Elaine Inglis of Quality; a son, James Lilburn Bailey of Russellville; seven brothers, Billy Delmore Bailey of Portales, N.M., Elvie Earmon "Bud" Bailey of Rohnert Park, Calif., Jr. Heltsley of Sharon Grove, Marty Juan Heltsley of Russellville and Benton Bailey Jr., Cleo Bailey and Merle Bailey, all of Exeter, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
