Resident of Saratoga

Dave Forcier passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday, March 1st, with his bride of 60 years and his children by his side.

He was born in Oregon and moved to California at a very young age. His final destination where he and his wife, Yvonne, raised their family was Saratoga, California in 1961.
Dave served in the U.S.A.F. from 1951-1955. He served in Korea from 1953-1954. He was very proud to be a veteran. After his time in the Air Force he came home and married his sweetheart in January, 1956 as they just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
He was a plastering contractor by trade.

"Big Dave" was known for his incredible sense of humor, love of sports (especially watching his son and grandchildren play), his blue eyes and most of all his love for his entire family.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Forcier, his four children, Denise Bajtos (Dan), David Forcier Jr, Yvette Welsh (Tom) and Deanna Medeiros (Joe). He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren that loved their "Poppie" so much and three great grand babies.

A celebration of Dave's life has been set for Friday, March 11th, 12 noon at Alameda Family Funeral, 12341 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd with reception to follow at Blue Pheasant Restaurant, Cupertino.
