Robert C. Jernee, 75, of 705 S. 23rd St., Wilson, died yesterday in Easton Hospital, where he was admitted July 9.
Born in Philadelphia, July 12, 1894, a son of the late Horace and Laura Sobers Jernee, he lived in the Easton area 55 years.

Mr. Jernee was a painter. He was formerly employed by area painting contractors and was last employed by Taylor Wharton Co., retiring five years ago. He was also an assistant steward at the Wilson Democratic Club. He was a member of the Memorial United Church of Christ, Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators, and Paperhangers of America, Order of Fleas, the Weston Club, Wilson Democratic Club, the Young Democratic Club of Wilson, Easton Eagles, Jacksonian Democratic Club, Palmer Volunteer Fire Co. and the Wilson Civic Association.

His first wife, the former Linda Rissmiller, died May 2, 1951.

Survivors include his widow, Sara Y. Young Jernee; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Rader, Easton; Mrs. Linda Regalis, Palmer Township, and Mrs. Joseph Frantz, Williams Township; two stepsons, Robert J. Smith, East Lawn, Nazareth, and Ray E. Smith, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Jack and Aaron Jernee, Ocean City, N.J.; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Katins Funeral Chapel, Wilson. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
