MRS. C.I. HENDEE

Dies at Home in Rutland; Burial at Arlington

Mrs. Carleton I. Hendee, 63, died yesterday afternoon at her home in Rutland, after a brief illness.

She was born in Bennington on April 3, 1874, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Rudd.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Hendee is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jack Seward and Miss Anna Hendee of Rutland and Miss Lorraine S. Hendee of New York city; two sons, Allen R. Hendee of Rutland and Carleton A. Hendee of Middlebury; and two sisters, Mrs. Perry W. Eldred and Mrs. Fred Stickles of Bennington.

Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon by Rev. Rev. J. Graydon Brown, pastor of the Rutland Congregational church. Services will be held at 4 o'clock in the Arlington cemetery where the burial will take place.
