Last evening between 5 and 6 o'clock Charles T. Shewan of River street passed away after a lingering illness of general debility. Deceased, who was 68 years of age, was a native of County Durham, England, and emigrated to this country when a small boy. He was married here ane is survived by a wide and four children: Mrs, Clarence Fine, Downing Street; Mrs. Edward Mangan and Mrs. Harry Sorber, also of town, and one son, Charles Shewan of Wilkes-Barre. Deceased was an old resident of town and was well and favorably known.
