Muriel ended her fight with cancer on Aug. 15, 2016, at age 79 and in the care of hospice professionals in West Chester. She leaves her husband, Dr. Ted Kasander, her sons, Greg and Ted, and grandsons, Jack and Ben, to carry her legacy of caretaking onward.
Originally from Jim Thorpe, Muriel was the third of four children of the late Gordon and Mabel Redline and was the last of her siblings to leave this life.
She graduated from Jim Thorpe High School, whereupon she entered the workforce. Duties included key punch operating and secretarial tasks. Later, she would become office manager for her husband's dental practice, where together they grew a loyal clientele and a respected family business.
Her practical and caring interest in others will be missed by all who called her friend, mother, sister, grammy, aunt and wife. May she continue to inspire in repose.
Service: Panachida service 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, Nesquehoning, followed by a funeral service in St. John Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning, with the Rev.
