Alberta May York, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Alma, Michigan. She was born on March 1, 1933 in Onaway, Michigan to parents Chester and Ethel L. (King) Gordier. Alberta married Raymond W. York on June 11, 1960 in Flint, Michigan. She was a member of Phoenix United Methodist Church in Grand Blanc. Alberta enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, and she enjoyed the company of her neighbors and her church family.

Alberta is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband; siblings: Norman Gordier, Josephine McClary, Thelma Smith, Lena Bannatyne, Genevieve Cook, Emma Brasseau, Lucille Smith, Maxine Loyer, Luella Gordier, and Bill Gordier.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Phoenix United Methodist Church (4423 S. Genesee Rd., Grand Blanc). Interment at Flint Memorial Park.
