Teresa Catherine Smith, 93, formerly of Peabody Street, Duluth, Minnesota died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, in the Chris Jensen Nursing Home, Duluth. Teresa was born Oct. 11, 1905, in Duluth to Charles and Katherine (Sadowski) Novak.

Teresa was a homemaker, candy maker and dipper and dental technician. In the 1930's, she worked for O'Donnell Candy Company and Boy Blue Candy Company that was located on the fifth floor of the downtown Glass Block, as a hand dipper of chocolate. She then worked for Zibell Dental Lab from 1951 until retiring in 1965, as a dental technician. She was a member of St. Michael's Church and its Rosary Society.

Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander Smith in 1993; five sisters; and five brothers. She is survived by her sons; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Burial was at the Calvary Cemetery, Duluth, Minnesota.
