Amos Clive Anderson, age 74, of Richmond, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Golden Living Center/Golden Rule.

Born March 19, 1942, in Mullins Station, Rockcastle County, Kentucky, to Amos and Ethel French Anderson, Clive lived most of his life in Richmond. He was a 1960 graduate of Richmond High School and a 1975 graduate of Judson College in Elgin, Illinois, with a degree in Christian Religion and Philosophy. Clive served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1963. He worked many years in insurance and investment sales, employed by Prudential and owned Anderson Financial Services. Clive was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a lay minister for several churches including Calvary Baptist Church. Clive loved golfing and fishing with his best friends, playing basketball, and watching sports and movies.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Nancy Bickel Anderson; son, Erick Clive Anderson of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, James ‘Charlie’ (Nancy) Anderson of Florida and Leslie Wayne Anderson of Richmond; nieces; nephews; aunt, Lela Stanley of Trenton, Ohio; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Zola Maxine Mosey.

Visitation for Amos Clive Anderson will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. James Spon officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery Veteran's Field of Honor with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
