Obituary in The Shreveport Times August 18, 2016:
Shreveport, LA Clarence H. McQuagge, Buddy to those who knew him, passed away August 15, 2016. Not a native to Shreveport, he was a longtime resident and a 1955 graduate of Fair Park High School. Buddy worked in the oil and gas industry in the field of Project Development focusing on Sub Sea Construction Operations. He retired from Santa Fe International as Vice President of Marine Construction/ Eastern Hemisphere. He later accepted a Consultant position as a Critical Activities Specialist for offshore operations with Exxon Mobil Development Company. Buddy was with the EMDC Construction Division for over 12 years.

Buddy was born August 16, 1937 in Converse, LA. He served in the US Army and was a member the Cathedral of St John Berchmans Catholic Church. Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Daisy and Clarence McQuagge; a sister, Martha Elizabeth Kendrick; and a niece, Julia Sloan. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann LaCaze McQuagge; mother- in-law, Ernestine LaCaze; sister-in-law, Chesteen Jacoby and husband Richard, their daughter Jackie; his niece, Rebecca Ainsworth and husband Danny, their children, Jett and Carey; several other relatives and many friends.

A service celebrating the life of Buddy McQuagge will be conducted Friday, August 19, 2016 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Monsignor Carson LaCaze will officiate. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Sheldon Liles, Sterling Liles, Steven Faccone, Henry Braud, Dick Tinsley, and Shane Maxcy. Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Beavers, Jerry Gilcrease, David Bailey, Nail Moran, Ernie Bates, Mike Nelson, John Long and Carlton Murray.

Mrs. McQuagge wishes to thank Dr. Alan Borne, Dr. Stuart Blum, Dr. Raja Zabaneh, Dr. Jonathon Davis, their staff and the staff of NW LA Veterans Home for their excellent care.
