Blake R. Highman, age 7 months, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 as a result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on February 22, 2012 here in Mount Vernon.
Blake is survived by his brother, Gavin Lain Highman, his father, Charles Highman, maternal grandmother, Linda Dillon, paternal grandfather, Raymond (Lisa) Highman and paternal grandmother, Martha Gardner, great grandparents, Carolyn Sue (Steve) Riter, aunts and uncles, Jennifer Dillon-Messinger; Nicole (Stephen) Pearce and Michael (Lindsey) Cairns, a special great-aunt and uncle, Anna and Stuart Bogden, along with many extended family members.
Blake was preceded in death by his mother R. Katherine “Kat” Dillon and his grandfather, Ronald Dillon.
Friends may call on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00PM at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00AM with Pastor Tim Parker officiating. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:30AM in Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any branch of First Knox National Bank for Katherine’s son, Gavin Lain Highman.
