Mrs. Hazel Irene Allen, 70, of 550 Henry St., died Friday morning at the home of her son near Marion. She was in failing health 10 months.
A native of LaRue, she was born Dec. 28, 1902, one of two daughters and four children of Howard and Katie Buyer Littell. On Feb. 5, 1921, in Kenton she married Oscar C. Allen. He died Sept. 18, 1971.
Surviving are three sons, Richard O. of 2606 Pole Lane Rd., Celoy Chester of Columbus and Gerald D. of Louisiana; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Maxine) Arthur of Covington, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, a brother, Bernard Littell of LaRue, and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Sager of Columbus.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the Boyd Funeral Home with Lester Mahaffey of Latter-Day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, LaRue.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
