WEDS DESPITE PAPA ROTH'S PROTEST
As the culmination of a romance and despite of parental objections, Charles F. Raney and Miss Louise Roth, were married last Saturday night at 9 o'clock by the Rev. J.R. Golden of the West Side Christian Church at the church parsonage.

The couple are now making their home with the father of the groom, Henry A. Raney, a contractor, residing at 633 New street.

Miss Louise Roth, the bride, is the daughter of Martin Roth, 618 West Lawrence avenue, who is the proprietor of a grocery store in that vicinity.

Mr. Raney was employed as a clerk in the store, and it was there he met Miss Roth, who assisted at time in waiting on the customers. There the romance originated and developed, and finally Mr. Raney made known his intentions to Mr. Roth, who objected to the marriage of his daughter and forbid it.

Mr. Raney left the employ of Mr. Roth, but did not cease his attentions toward Miss Louise.

Despairing finally of obtaining her father's consent, Miss Roth, who has attained her majority, left home last Saturday night with Mr. Raney, and they were quietly married.

They were attended by Mr. Turner and Miss Crawford, friends of the couple, and following the ceremony went to the home of Mr. Raney to make their home temporarily.

Mr. and Mrs. Raney intend to make their future home in Peoria.
