Preceded in death by one daughter Glenn∼Woodrow Carson McGough, Sr., died Wednesday, November 29th, 2006 at the age of 90.
Known as "Bill" McGough of McGough Springs east of Eastland, he was born in Eastland County on September 17, 1916. He was the youngest child of William Carson McGough, one of the first settlers to Eastland County. Bill retired from Exxon after working for 35 years in West Texas, New Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico. After retirement he worked several more years in Saudi Arabia in the oil business.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathryn Glynn Hughes of Crandall.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Lucille of Ranger; sister, Nova Gatch of Florida; son, Carson and Patricia McGough of Eastland; daughter, Billie Sue Heintschel of Lewisville: and stepson, Richard and Sammie Massey of Eastland; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
There will be no public services held at Bill's request, just a private gathering of family. If you would like to honor the life of Bill McGough, please donate to the American Cancer Society in his name.
