Caroline Jeanette Batzka, 50, of Valparaiso passed away Monday, August 22, 2016. She was born April 12, 1966 in Valparaiso to Kenneth & Edris (Anderson) Batzka and graduated from Morgan Township High School in 1984. Caroline was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Wanatah. She was a closet rock & roll enthusiast with a zest for life that few could imagine. Caroline also enjoyed attending activities at Opportunity Enterprises Lakeside campus and living on the family farm. May the quiet challenges of her life inspire all who knew her. Survivors include her brothers: Andrew Batzka of Valparaiso, Brian (Dana) Batzka of Kouts, and her grandmother, Dorothy Anderson of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her parents. A visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Salem Church, 302 S. Main St., Wanatah with funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. and burial to follow at Salem Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Salem Church.
