Andrew Davis "Andy" Goins was the brother of my second great-grandfather, Thomas Goin. (Some family members use the name Goin, other Goins or Goings.) His first wife was Mary E. Huddleston whom he married January 4, 1852 in Robertson County, Tennessee. She died February, 1870. Their children were: George Robert, Susan Elizabeth, Bennett James, Samuel Houston "Huse", Hugh Lee, Mary Frances and Andrew Davis "Andy" Goins, Jr.

He married Winnie Richardson Stafford, widow of Haywood Stafford, about 1871, in Graves County. Winnie was also my second great-grandmother, the mother of Isophene (or Icephine) Eudora Stafford, my great-grandmother, and her siblings. Isophine and my great-grandfather, James Henry Goin, married in 1881. Winnie died sometime after the 1910 census when she was living with her son Jefferson Davis Stafford in Randolph County, Arkansas. Their children were: James Henderson and Olla Pearl Goins.
