Florence Ina LeBlanc passed away July 12, 2016 at Sunrise at Flatirons in Broomfield, Colorado. She was 98 years old.
Florence was born into a pioneer farm family on January 23, 1918 in Des Moines, Iowa to James and Francis (Griffith) Devin and was the youngest of 9 children. She graduated from Des Moines High School and then attended stenographer school.
Florence met Mahlon while working in San Diego during World War II and married him following his return from the Marine Corp. They moved to the Longmont area in 1963 from Houston, Texas. Prior to Florence moving to Sunrise at Flatirons she lived at The Regent and Hover Assisted Living in Longmont. She enjoyed living in Pinewood Springs in the 70's. She also loved to cook for her family and wintered in Arizona with Mahlon for 22 years following his retirement.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings. She is survived by husband, Mahlon, sons Michael, Steven, and William, daughter Sandra, grandchild Bill and great-grandchildren Audrey and Owen.
No services will be held. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
