Born in Scranton, son of the late John and Gwladys Jones Batten, he graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in economics. Arthur retired as vice president and general manager of Burschel Dairy, Scranton.
He is survived by a son, Bradley Batten and wife, Nancy, Palm Coast, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Dr. Kristine Batten, Danville, Calf.; a sister, Gwladys Stanley, Scranton; five grandchildren, Katie Page, Paul Batten, Erika Meeker, Elizabeth and Kim Batten; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Drew and Emma Page.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Dr. George Batten.
Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery.
