VELMA L. GRAHAM (Age 86)
Long-time resident of Vienna, VA, died Saturday, February 13, 2016 after a courageous battle with Melanoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin B. Graham. Leaves behind her only child, Charles E. Graham and his wife, Susan of Ashburn, VA; granddaughter, Jennifer Laguna and her husband, Paul of Springfield, VA; grandson, Jason Graham and his wife, Christine of Herndon, VA. Also, her beloved great-grandchildren, Aiden Laguna and Avery Graham. Velma is also survived by her brother, Bill Shytle and wife, Sandy of Lenoir, NC. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Velma was born in Lincolnton, NC and married and moved to Washington, DC, and worked for C&P telephone company. She moved to Vienna, VA in 1959 and continued to work for C&P which eventually became AT&T. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the Eastern Star, Lady Shriners, and many other community organizations, where she devoted her time. She was a long-time active member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna, VA.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, February 24 from 1 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Avenue, Vienna VA. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 711 Spring St. SE, Vienna, A 22180-5898 or Capital Hospice 2900 Telestar Ct., Falls Church, VA 22042.
