Wallace Joseph Proctor, 74, died Tuesday (Feb. 10, 1976) at St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Evanston, he was a son of the late William and Louise (née McNamara) Proctor.
He was a merchant and a member of Holy Name Society of St. Francis de Sales Church.
Surviving besides his wife, the former Edna Power, are five daughters, Ellen (Mrs. Ralph Burke) of Halifax, Anne and Loyola, both of Toronto, Rose (Mrs. James MacIntyre) of Evanston, and Judy (Mrs. Darryl Kawaja) of Port Hawkesbury; five sons, Michael of Evanston, John of Antigonish, Wallace of Dartmouth, Art of Lower Sackville, Mervin of Whiteside; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Cogswell of Herring Cove, Mary of Truro; a brother, Basil of Evanston; 29 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 12 in St. Francis de Sales Church, Lower River Inhabitants, Rev. Terry Lynch officiating.
