Carmel husband John Quincy was killed in a mining accident in 1946. She married Chester Fields, no children from this marriage. Chester was very abusive too Carmel and her children, this information from her children. Carmel took the children and moved to Rushville, Indiana without Chester.
She did move back to Sturgill Hollow, Big Cowan, Kentucky to her home place, I assume after Chester passed away.
She is my lovely Aunt, I so enjoyed visiting her and playing with her children.
The cemetery is their family cemetery, located up the mountain , above her home in Sturgill Hollow.
